Gary Lee Sampson
In 2017, Sampson, from Boston, gloated about murdering three people in 2001. He surrendered to police immediately after, where he confessed that he began by stabbing them, but switched to strangling because there was less blood that way. He's currently awaiting the death penalty.

She was married to the Scarborough Rapist, Paul Bernardo. They raped and murdered three women — including Homolka's little sister, who was "given" to Bernardo by Homolka as a Christmas gift. While recording the entire evening, they drugged her, raped her, and left her for dead. Homolka was released from her 12-year prison sentence in 2007.

He admitted to killing over 21 people and sodomizing over 1,000 boys and men. One of his most brutal murders occurred in the 1920s when he hired six men to work on a boat with him in Angola, and shortly after he shot them dead and fed them to the crocodiles. Alexander Pichushkin, “The Chessboard Killer”
Pichuskin killed anywhere from 48 to 60 people in a park in Moscow, and it's possible he was trying to compete with another notorious serial killer, Andrei Chikatilo. He said he was trying to fill the number of squares on an imaginary chessboard with the number of people he murdered — that's 64 people.

Aileen Wuornos
Wuornos was a sex worker starting in the late '80s, and killed a man who picked her up in 1989. She was caught and convicted for killing five other men, and was executed in 2002. Before she was given lethal injection, she said she needed to "come clean," and spilled the details regarding her crimes to a camera.

Mary Bell
Bell was 11 years old when she committed her murders, the strangling of a 4-year-old boy, and a few months later, the strangling a 3-year-old boy. After the first murder, she knocked on the boy's door, asking to see him. When his parents told her he was no longer alive, she said, "Oh, I know he's dead. I wanted to see him in his coffin."

Lee Boyd Malvo, aka "The DC Sniper"
Malvo was 17 when he and an accomplice killed 10 people in the DC area over a three-week span in 2002. Their crimes were called the DC Sniper Attacks, and he was given six life sentences, while his accomplice was given the death penalty. In 2003, he told police that though not everyone they attacked had died, he'd hoped they would.

Edward Harold Bell
Teen girls started going missing in Texas in the 1970s along Interstate 45. Some bodies were found in surrounding areas, now known as the Texas Killing Fields. Bell sent letters in 1998 confessing to the murders of seven girls, claiming he was brainwashed to carry out his crimes — but not all of his claims have been proven. He's currently in prison for murdering a man in the 1970s.
